Brendan Schaub Predicts Lee, Mighty Mouse To Win At ONE X

When ONE Championship begins its 10th-anniversary spectacular, ONE X, on Saturday, March 26, Brendan Schaub will be tuned in to see all of the action.

On Monday’s edition of The Schaub Show, the mixed martial artist veteran broke down several of the Grand Finale matchups on the loaded event’s docket.

Brendan Schaub Feels Lee and Mighty Mouse Will Win at ONE X

The Coloradan said his favorite match on the card was the ONE Atomweight World Championship main event between Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex, who Schaub said has the best name in combat sports.

“So, you’re showing Angela Lee right now, who is a complete demon. I think her dad was an anaconda,” Brendan Schaub said of Lee as he broke down the main event matchup.

“[Lee] also has that mama power. Her husband [Bruno Pucci], I think, is also a fighter, but her brother also fights. And her sister. The whole family fights. But, she is a complete badass, man.”

Brendan Schaub noted Stamp’s growth on the ground during her ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix run to earn the title shot but predicted a victory for the United MMA star in her return to the Circle.

The former heavyweight athlete also took a look at the mixed rules superfight between Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

“The gentleman that [Johnson’s] fighting, Rodtang, you got to look this guy up. He is a complete monster. [He] might have the best chin you’ve ever seen,” said Brendan Schaub about the reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion.

But he kept his prediction with his fellow mixed martial artist. Schaub believes that Johnson’s speed and movement will allow him to withstand the barrage of the first round, and then his grappling will earn him a submission in the second frame.

Schaub also took a look at Shinya Aoki vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama and John Wayne Parr vs. Eduard Folayang on the lineup. The comedian and podcast host picked Akiyama and Parr to win those respective bouts.

The American was very complimentary of the event, calling it one of the best cards in a long time regardless of promotion. With five title matches, a mixed rules superfight, and legends throughout the bill, it is hard to argue.

And it all goes down this weekend.
