Just before Gordon Ryan hit the mats at Who’s Number One against Vagner Rocha, the promotion announced who his teammate Craig Jones would be facing at the next event. Jones is set to take on Tye Ruotolo.

At Who’s Number One 6, Jones defeated Ronaldo Junior via inside heel hook. Prior to that, the Aussie who trains with the Danaher Death Squad won back-to-back matches at Submission Underground. His only losses were against Mason Fowler at SUG 16 and SUG 17.
“I head Tye was calling for this match for a while, but I really wanted to wait until he was 18 because I couldn’t live with myself if I lost to a kid,” Craig Jones said.
Ruotolo last competed at Who’s Number One 5, where he earned an inside heel hook submission victory against Kody Steele.
“Stylistically I think it’s a good fight for me. He’s got good leg entanglements, it’s no secret. He’s got good leg attacks and that’s kind of my thing, shutting it down and I’m excited to fight him. I think I can beat him, that’s why I wanted to fight him.”
