Three weeks are left in the eighth season of Contender Series. After the Oct. 15 show, there will be no more Tuesday nights inside the UFC Apex for MMA prospects to try for a contract from UFC CEO Dana White until late next summer, although by that point, the venue will be renovated.
There are still 15 fights to be had this season, including five tonight. Live coverage begins tonight at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ stateside.

Main Event
At the top of the bill tonight is a light heavyweight affair pitting Diyar Nurgozhay (9-0 MMA) against Bartosz Szewczyk (8-2-1 MMA). This is a three-round fight at five minutes per round to close the show,
Co-Main Event
Immediately beforehand, the co-main event sees featherweight action between Alberto Montes (9-1 MMA) and Carlos Calderon (6-2, 1 NC MMA).
Rest of the Card
Also on tonight’s card, you’ll see a bantamweight bout matching David Martinez (10-1 MMA) with Xavier Franklin (5-0 MMA), a middleweight fixture versing Abdellah Er-Ramy (7-1 MMA) and Torrez Finney (9-0 MMA, 2-0 DWCS) in his third try for a deal, and a welterweight fight between Christien Savoie (10-1-1 MMA) and Jacobe Smith (8-0 MMA.)
