Ketlen Vieira (12-2) recently captured the vintage performance of her career, dominating the resurgent Miesha Tate last November. The BJJ black belt is a fresh face for the division, which has seen several rematches amidst Amanda Nunes‘ lengthy title reign. By beating the number two contender in Holm, she can solidify herself as the next contender after champ Julianna Pena and Nunes sort things out later this year.
Holly Holm (14-5) is no stranger to high-profile matchups, having fought five times for a UFC belt. She’s on her first win streak in six years, beating both Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana. Despite turning 40 last fall, Holm has shown no signs of slowing and will have a young contender to keep her busy while she waits for another shot at the belt.
