Conor Benn has credited Dana White's Zuffa Boxing for changing his life after he signed with them following his departure from Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.
British welterweight star Conor Benn is making no secret of how happy he is with his high-profile career pivot. After parting ways with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport to align himself with Dana White’s newly forged Zuffa Boxing promotion, the 29-year-old fighter believes the move has completely altered his trajectory both inside and outside the ring.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Benn reflected on stepping away from Matchroom to sign a multi-year deal under the Zuffa banner. For the son of British boxing legend Nigel Benn, jumping ship to White’s outfit was about securing a lucrative future and accelerating his chase for a world title.
“Best thing I’ve ever done,” Benn said. “The life I wanted was on the other side of that. The life I wanted for me and my family was on the other side of that deal, so not only has he changed my life completely, it’s also opened the doors for me to fight for that world title.”
