Dana White Reacts to Paulo Costa Following his Release Request

Dana White didn't sugarcoat his feelings when asked about Paulo Costa. In recent days, Costa has been feuding with the UFC. He recently accused the promotion of having some significant discrepancies in his contract. Additionally, the Brazilian star is also not happy with how the UFC has approached him as a probable contender for the light heavyweight crown. 

Following a series of tweets from Costa, White finally addressed the situation at Meta Apex. He said, “Oh, yeah. (Paulo is) frustrated, yeah. He's been offered fights and turned them down. We don't just say, 'F*ck Paulo Costa,' and, 'You're not going to get a fight,' and 'No we're not going to pay you,' and, 'No, we're not going to do this.'”

White also said, “Guys get offered three fights a year regularly, even guys who aren't fighting. Tom Aspinall's eyes are messed up. He's getting offered fights. You think Paulo Costa isn't getting offered fights?"

The statement did address some of the accusations that Costa brought in. However, the UFC CEO did not touch upon the issue where Costa stated that he was being offered a three-round fight’ pay for a five-round fight.

Paulo Costa Took Some Vicious Verbal Shots at UFC 

Costa recently mentioned that he has only one fight left in his current deal with the UFC. He also mentioned how Hunter Campbell, UFC’s Chief Business Officer, has been reportedly trying to stall his final fight for the promotion. 

Costa wrote on X, “Its incredible CRAZY how Hunter won't give me a regular, standard three-round fight; he insists on keeping it with me. He saying nobody is available till, maybe next year. Can you believe on this bull**it? lol. If you're a LHW in @ufc roaster and want to fight, let's bring it to him." 

With the feud between the two escalating further, fans are waiting for more updates on the matter.
