Female Bantamweights Headline in Contender Series Showdown

American Alivia Bierley sets in against England's Summer Onley in a bantamweight clash in this week's Contender Series headliner.
Week nine of the Contender Series sees two women's bantamweights headline the card in what is expected to be an excellent clash.
American Alivia Bierley, whose record is 5-1 will meet England's Summer Onley, who is undefeated at 6-0. Both women have made a name for themselves on the regional circuit, and both will be looking to take the next step in their careers and grab that elusive UFC contract.
Alivia Bierley
America's Alivia Bierley, nicknamed 'Yum Yum' is carrying plenty of momentum ahead of her Contender Series debut. The 30-year-old is coming off the back of five straight wins, with the last two coming via knockout. Expect a high pace from Bierley, who is also a personal trainer. She's shredded, never gets tired and has a high level of experience in a range of combat sports.
She's an IBJJF gold medalist and boasts an impressive 6-0 amateur record. Bierley has heavy hands and will look to put on a show against Onley.
Summer Onley
32-year-old Summer Onley holds an undefeated professional record of 6-0 and has impressed throughout her career. She has five finishes, all of which have come via TKO/KO. She captured the FCC bantamweight title with a win over Monica Fontes last year, before defending it in March of this year, again via finish.
With a 7-1 amateur record, Onley competed in the 2022 IMMAF tournament. Her amateur record saw her finish every fight via a range of different finishes. Onley is aware that she's not paid for overtime in MMA and goes in there to finish the fight every time.
Expectations
Expect one thing from this fight - Not to see the final bell. With a combined eight finishes across 11 wins, these women come to throw down, have fan-friendly styles, and will leave it all out there to get the victory.
Onley has never experienced a professional loss, but there's little doubt that this fight is going to be the toughest of her career. Bierley will push the pace, but has to be sensible because Onley can crack.
Roll on the main event!
