|

The Super Fight League announced the latest round of bouts that’ll make up its forthcoming SFL 8 event, that’s set to take place on November 9th in Mumbai, India. As with its previous 4 events, SFL 8 will carry a total of 7 bouts on its fight card, and will be a part of the recently launched ‘Friday Night Fight Nights’ initiative.

For more details on the format of this new initiative, you can either click here or head on over to http://superfightleague.com/.

SFL 8 will be headlined by Middleweights John Troyer (13-7) and Vasily Novikov (11-7). Both fighters are set to make their respective promotional debuts.

Troyer may be a familiar face to most MMA fans, having competed 3 times under the Bellator banner. The Louisville, Kentucky native is unbeaten in his last 4 fights, holding wins over the likes of Sean Huffman and Josh Clark in various organizations.

The 27-year-old opened his career with an 8-1 record, before hitting a rough patch in 2008.

His opponent, Vasily Novikov, is riding on a 2-fight win streak and has competed mostly in M1-Global’s events. The 30-year-old Ukrainian is 6-1 in his last 7 professional bouts, and has tasted mixed success in his MMA career thus far.

The co-Main event will see Hardeep Singh (9-2) take on Tom McKenna (0-0) in a Bantamweight match-up. While McKenna is set to make his official MMA debut, his opponent has already amassed 9 victories in his MMA career. Singh was last seen at Legend Fighting Championship’s 3rd event, where he was submitted by Yohan Mulia Legowo in the first round.
