Just two months after his last victory, Josh Hokit is calling for a title fight, whether it's for the heavyweight championship or the BMF belt. He also has specific opponents he'd like to face.

The American heavyweight has a knack for getting into the spotlight, whether it's through his antics outside the cage or his knockouts inside it.

He last defeated a knockout artist at heavyweight, Derrick Lewis, by second-round TKO at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14. And now he's aiming for the belt.

Josh Hokit Wants Ciryl Gane or Alex Pereira Next

Josh Hokit has stayed undefeated in his entire professional career, 10-0. He is ranked #4 in the heavyweight division and has 5-straight wins in the UFC, four of which are finishes.

Now for his next outing, the 28-year-old has two names on his mind. "Either give me Ciryl for the title or Alex for the BMF. Tired of watching these little crotch sniffers lay and pray, and people call them the BMF/P4P. You can't have those titles and just hold guys down without doing damage," Hokit said.

Furthermore, he also promised to put on a show for his fans, as he has done in all his fights. "Whoever I fight, the fans will get pure violence with a show," Hokit concluded.

With interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane looking for a title unification against Tom Aspinall, the Alex Pereira fight makes more sense for Hokit. Also, the history between the two adds an intriguing angle to the matchup.

Hokit vs. Pereira: Is it a fight to make?

Gane and Pereira competed on the same UFC Freedom 250 show, with Gane defeating the Brazilian by TKO in the second round to win the interim title.

Also, the Pereira call-out isn't made out of nowhere. Hokit and Pereira met backstage at the event, where the American star attempted to provoke the Brazilian. During the press conference, Hokit also used Pereira's famous 'Chama' remark to mock Pereira.

Now that Pereira has lost in his attempt to win a third division championship after middleweight and light heavyweight, this appears to be a match worth taking.

Meanwhile, Hokit can strengthen his position in the title race by defeating Pereira. 'Poatan,' on the other hand, has said that he will remain in the heavyweight division, and a victory over Hokit might place him back in the championship picture.

Stylistically, Pereira is an elite striker, while Hokit is a wrestler with unpredictable striking who has not faced an opponent capable of stopping him yet. Thus, this could be a fight to make in the heavyweight division.
