Hokit goes for Aspinall: "Tell us, what's the problem Tom"

In a recent tweet, heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall denied the rumors that he is leaving the UFC. Josh Hokit didn't wait much to jump on Aspinall and call him out for avoiding fights.
In standard Hokit fashion, he tried to talk his way into the fight with Tom Aspinall. Heavyweight champion of the UFC Tom Aspinall was recently a target of many rumors that he would leave the world's best promotion. However, on Aug. 26, Aspinall himself denied the rumors, saying simply and directly, "I am not leaving the UFC." One fighter had the issue with Tom's response, that being the No. 6 ranked contender Josh Hokit.
Hokit Indirectly Says Aspinall is Afraid To Fight
In a short tweet, Hokit responded to Aspinall, focusing on a sentence from the former's tweet, "We are talking to the UFC every day." Hokit proceeded to question why they are talking to the UFC and who "we" are.
"Tom, I would like to focus on the part that says, 'We are talking to the UFC daily. 'Why would you be talking to them daily, and who is we?"
In Hokit fashion, he stated that he would fight Tom Aspinall tomorrow if needed and pointed out that the Englishman started training in June this year.
"You have a contract. I'd fight you tomorrow so opponents are not a problem. In June you started training. Tell us what the problem is Tom."
It's nothing new for Hokit to rant about someone on social media; however, this time he might have a point. Aspinall is fully recovered, and yet there are no signs of him coming back in the near future. Ciryl Gane won his match without much trouble against Alex Pereira on UFC Freedom 250 and is very likely ready for the next bout that is presented to him. Tom Aspinall had yet to respond to the American, who is only putting more pressure on the reining champion.
Highly Unlikely Josh Hokit Can Talk his Way into Title Fight
"The incredible Hok" spent a lot of time building his persona, which did lead him to some big names in the heavyweight division. But, as many fans state, he is yet to prove himself as a legitimate threat to the title. His only notable wins are Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis, both far away from their primes. It's not realistic to expect the fight between Hokit and Aspinall, or Gane yet.
In a scenario where Tom postpones his return even further, Alexander Volkov should be the one that gets the fight for an interim bout against Gane. As for Hokit, the best he can get is Sergei Pavlovich, which would really tell if Josh is title fight material.
The Alex Pereira fight doesn't look bad for both of them, since the winner of that fight can easily get into a title picture.
