Jiri Prochazka returns in UFC Qatar headliner against undefeated fighter
Jiri Prochazka is set to headline UFC Qatar against an undefeated contender as the former champion looks to rebound from his latest title fight loss.
The UFC is heading to Qatar next month for its Fight Night event, headlined by former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka, who is returning after suffering a heartbreaking loss in a title fight against Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327 back in April.
Who is Jiri Prochazka facing at UFC Qatar?
A few weeks ago, in an X post, Prochazka shared that none of his previous opponents or top-ranked fighters were accepting the fight, and he teased fans that he would face a new opponent in his next outing.
That's the case now, as the UFC has officially announced that Prochazka will face undefeated Navajo Stirling in the headliner of UFC Qatar, which will go down on November 21 at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena (ABHA Arena) in Doha.

This marks the UFC's second-ever visit to Qatar. The inaugural event took place in November last year, headlined by a lightweight bout between Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker, where Tsarukyan put on a spectacular submission victory.
Prochazka's fight in Qatar will be an important chapter in his career, as he needs to rebuild after suffering a brutal knockout loss to Ulberg and failing to reclaim the title.
The defeat carries extra weight, as 'Black Jag' suffered a leg injury and was left limping, unable to stand on his feet properly. The Czech fighter became a little reckless and was knocked down on entry, and the reigning champion followed up with ground-and-pound strikes to capture the title.

The defeat at UFC 327 marked Prochazka's third title fight loss, as he also failed to capture the title against Alex Pereira twice. The UFC Qatar fight is crucial for the Czech fighter, as if he manages to get past the undefeated Stirling, it will push him one step closer to a title opportunity.
That said, it won't be a cakewalk, as Stirling has knocked out his last three opponents and is riding a six-fight win streak in the UFC. In his most recent UFC outing, he finished Jan Blachowicz with ease in a fight many considered his toughest test.
At UFC Qatar, Stirling will try to finish Prochazka to earn himself a title opportunity, while the former champion is eyeing a rebuild.
