Joe Rogan deems Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje and UFC Freedom 250 as "greatest" fight and event ever

Podcast mogul and MMA personality Joe Rogan has put forth his case for why UFC Freedom 250 and Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje surpassed all other combat sports events and fights.
Joe Rogan appears to be truly impressed by the UFC Freedom 250 event and by its headlining match, a title unifier between then-lightweight kingpin Ilia Topuria and then-interim lightweight titleholder Justin Gaethje.
Rogan, who's a podcast mogul and has been a UFC color commentator for well over two decades, has suggested that the UFC White House card and the Topuria-Gaethje matchup were the greatest event and fight ever.
A martial arts practitioner and avid combat sports fan, Rogan himself was at the event, serving as a color commentator on the UFC broadcast team.
Joe Rogan hails UFC Freedom 250 as the greatest event of all time
In episode No. 2515 of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast, MMA personality and UFC commentator Joe Rogan hosted Chase Hughes, who's a behavioral profiling, persuasion, and influence expert.
Among other topics, the duo discussed UFC Freedom 250, which was held on the White House's South Lawn this past Sunday, June 14. It was promoted as a part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the United States Declaration of Independence from British colonial rule.
The current P.O.T.U.S., Donald Trump, has long been associated with UFC CEO and president Dana White -- with the latter often praising him for being a fight fan and ardent supporter of the UFC.
As such, President Trump as well as several other members of the U.S. administration and military were in attendance for the event at the White House, which is considered to be a historically significant and symbolic place in the United States.
Heaping praise on the special event, Joe Rogan addressed several elements of the show during his conversation with Chase Hughes. Rogan alluded to the concerns about the weather (high temperatures, rainfall, etc.) possibly hurting the fighters' performances.
Also, many fans and experts were worried that insects such as gnats could mar the event, all because the fights that are usually held in closed arenas were being held outdoors. They transpired under a specially built structure, a mammoth lighting grid known as The Claw.
Nevertheless, Rogan emphasized that the weather, the pre-fight festivities such as the fighter jet show, musical performances, etc., all played their part ideally.
Labeling UFC Freedom 250 the best event of all time, Rogan spoke about the military personnel octagon-side and the gathering of 85,000 excited fans at the nearby Ellipse watching the fights onscreen with live visuals and commentary. He referenced the show's sheer magnitude and stated:
"I mean, I'm a hyperbolic individual. And I'm always like, 'This is the greatest. This is awesome.' But that was the wildest experience that I've ever had in my 20 whatever years of calling combat sports."
He continued, "There's nothing even close; nothing even close. It was the greatest night of fights of all time. And it was the only night in the history of the sport where every single fight ended by knockout."
Joe Rogan was seemingly awestruck by Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje
Joe Rogan cited Justin Gaethje's iconic fourth-round TKO victory against Ilia Topuria in the UFC Freedom 250 headliner. He pointed out that Gaethje, despite his veteran status and accolades, was a massive underdog against Topuria, who'd been hailed as the best of the new generation.
Underlining that Topuria almost finished Gaethje but the American rallied to score a thrilling win in the back-and-forth war, Rogan said:
"The main event was the greatest fight of all time. It, literally, was the greatest fight of all time. Because the guy who won it, Justin Gaethje, was in many books a six-to-one favorite, or a six-to-one underdog, rather."
