Newly signed UFC star Kaik Brito says fan messages got so overwhelming he had to block them before DWCS.

The sport is as huge as its fan base. Followers make the sport huge and popular. So, without them, both the player and the sport will suffer. However, the same fan can also make an athlete's life difficult by constantly trolling. And while they are a fan of one, the other side of the team or opponent receives harsh criticism because they are against their favorite. Meanwhile, Kaik Brito had the same problem while preparing to compete against Namo Fazil in the Dana White Contender Series. After the win, he said that he had to block fans.

Kaik Brito Reveals Why He Had to Block Fans Before DWCS

Just now, Brito knocked out Fazil with an overhand right in the third round in Dana White's Contender Series Season 10, Week 2 welterweight main event. Meanwhile, when asked if he had received any notes from fans, the Kurdish fighter was so outspoken and had so many followers even before his UFC debut thanks to his Netflix MMA event. Meanwhile, Brito said he got so many messages every day that he had to block and restrict people.

“Bro, you have no idea how many messages I got. I got messages every day, all the time. I had to restrict people and block people so I could actually check on my Instagram normally and have it function normally. Because people were just sending it all the time. But you know what? At the end of the day, as I said, I see this as a job that you need to get done and they take it another way. I feel like I'm light on earth and nothing is going to bother me. And I'll tell you, it didn't bother me, but there was a lot. They were all coming all the time, messages,” Brito said (translated into English).

Indeed, during fight week, the fighters receive a lot of attention. That is exactly what happened with Brito, who received so many messages that he was unable to use his Instargam account properly.

Kaik Brito Got $5000 From Islam Dulatov For Knocking Out Namo Fazil

After Brito knocked out Fazil, the German fighter expressed a desire to give Brito $5000, given the Kurdish fighter criticized Dulatov. “UFC is not giving any bonuses in the Contender series. But Family Dulatov is giving out $5,000 for this amazing performance. Please, brother, contact me and send me your bank details. I'm gonna send you 5 thousand dollars. This is not a joke,” Dulatov said on his Instagram story.

The finish was really effortless, and it's currently in the running for this year's best knockout. It will be interesting to watch Brito's future professional accomplishments.
