UFC Boss Dana White Says A Lot Of Wild Stuff Goes On Behind The Scenes That The Media Never Knows About

At the UFC Sacramento post-fight presser, Dana White revealed that many things happen behind the scene that never comes out in public.
The nature of fighting business is very wild. Many things can suddenly go wrong, from the trash talk to a physical altercation. At UFC events, fans have seen the fighters often start throwing their hands into the crowd. One such week was this one. Following his defeat, Namo Fazil, who has been in the news this week, revealed that he was attacked by Chechen men. When questioned, Dana White replied that such incidents take place often, but the company manages them so well that no one is even made known about them.
Dana White Says The Media Doesn’t Know Half The Wild Stuff
Earlier, Fazil said 15 Chechens came to his hotel room while he was cutting weight. He said Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate Baisangur Susurkaev was among them. As per the Kurdish fighter, he was in a sauna, covered with blankets, when the group entered. He did not want to fight but said one man slapped him twice after he refused to throw the first punch first.
The UFC boss was questioned about Fazil's story following the UFC Sacramento. To which White has acknowledged that a bizarre incident occurred this week and revealed that the nature of the business is so bizarre that it has become usual. He went on to say that a lot of things happen and are handled smoothly before they are even made public.
“You guys have no idea how much sh*t goes on in this business behind the scenes. And I said at the press conference that, you know, we had a kind of a weird week here. You guys wouldn't even know if he didn't talk about it. We handled it, you know, behind the scenes and, yeah, that's the business we're in. Lots of crazy sh*t happens every day in this business,” White said.
The UFC has removed fighters in many cases due to their poor behavior behind the scenes. Muhammad Mokaev was a prime example of it. Even though he was an extremely skilled fighter, his actions led to his removal from the company; the exact reasons are still unclear.
Dana White Slams Ian Garry For Being Too Respectful
Garry performed well against Islam Makhachev at UFC 330, but it was not enough to win. Notably, the Irishman showed a completely different side during the fight. He was surprisingly respectful of Makhachev during the rounds, and now the UFC boss has gone on a rant for the same reason.
"Tell how f*cking great he is when they're putting the belt on you. He might never have that opportunity again. You have 5 f*cking minutes. Every second of that round counts. Don't waste 10 seconds telling this guy you f*cking love him," White said.
White is correct in every way; Garry didn't appear to be there to defeat Makhachev during the fight; rather, he seemed content to be there. The UFC boss correctly pointed out that this can't work in the title fight.
