Nate Diaz drops Big News on Trilogy with Conor McGregor

Nate Diaz confirms that he will have the trilogy fight against Conor McGregor sometime in the future.
Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor had one of the biggest rivalries in UFC history. With Diaz winning their first fight, McGregor came back strong to even things out. However, with the rivalry locked in at 1-1, fans have long wanted to see a trilogy fight happen between the two. Surprisingly, in a recent interaction, Diaz seemed confident about granting fans their wish.
Diaz stated, “100%. We're going to have a trilogy. When he's in action and I'm in action and s**t's happening, we're going to meet.”
He further added, “Conor is a f***er. But Conor is a fighter. He’s someone you want to see. I’m not trying to kill him off. I’m not trying to be killed off by a guy trying to make a comeback. I’m trying to fight a big fight to move up in the fight program.”
Diaz also reflected on McGregor’s latest mishap during his big comeback against Max Holloway. ‘The Notorious’ former rival stated that McGregor had nerves and excitement get the better of him during his return.
What Lies in the Future for Conor McGregor?
On paper, what Diaz proposed looks like a fantastic idea. However, in reality, that very idea looks quite problematic. Coming back after a long hiatus, McGregor created significant hype. Unfortunately, injuring himself in the very first seconds of the fight made his return a dull event.
Now, even as McGregor tries to heal and come back, a question mark on his fitness will remain. Moreover, the former two-division champion is not getting any younger either. Currently, the former champion is nursing his injuries. And following his disappointing end against Holloway, the Irishman also promised to come back to the octagon in the future. Thus, at the moment, there is no certainty about how things will pan out for ‘Mystic Mac’ next.
