PFL Pittsburgh goes down this weekend, with previous middleweight champion Johnny Eblen facing off with Ultimate Fighter tournament winner Bryan Battle. Before that, however, promotional icon Impa Kasanganay throws down with Dalton Rosta.

Beginning his professional career in 2017, Eblen had spectacularly won 16 consecutive bouts, notably scoring the Bellator 185-lb strap and defending it three times. Coming off his first ever setback against Costello van Steenis last summer, “Pressure” is looking to resume his conquest toward major championship gold in the appropriately-named City of Champions during PFL Pittsburgh.

Gaining prominence in the mixed martial arts community by capturing the Ultimate Fighter trophy in 2021, Battle had recorded a fantastic UFC run, accruing a promotional record of 7-1 with one no-contest by the time he exited the company. Finding his way back to a major organization, “The Butcher” steps up for his most high-profile matchup to date in PFL Pittsburgh.

After a lengthy stint at light heavyweight, which included snagging a PFL championship in 2023, Kasanganay drops back down to middleweight on his journey towards attaining another belt. Aiming to make it two in a row after starching Andrew Sanchez last year, “Tshilobo” is determined to cement his place at the head of the pack of another division.

Rattling off three victories back-to-back, including a triumph over previous champion Sadibou Sy, Rosta suffered the first stoppage loss of his career when he met Fabian Edwards last August. Forced back to the drawing board, “Hercules” is seeking to announce himself as a legitimate contender for the PFL 185-lb strap by decimating another former title-holder.
