Tom Aspinall pokes fun at Ciryl Gane with recent Instagram skit

Tom Aspinall is making the most of his time away from the octagon by taking to social media to taunt the man who sidelined him with an eye injury.
Just one day ago, Tom Aspinall posted a short skit on his Instagram page, wherein he mocks divisional rival Ciryl Gane for the latter's history of fouls. The pair clashed at UFC 321 for Aspinall's undisputed heavyweight title in one of 2025's most anticipated matchups. Unfortunately, its anticlimactic end left the Englishman with a bitter taste in his mouth. So, it comes as no surprise that Aspinall continues to bring attention to Gane's poor in-cage habits.
Tom Aspinall highlights Ciryl Gane's fouling
Tom Aspinall's recent skit, which was jokingly captioned as training for the inevitable rematch with Ciryl Gane, features him going through standard fight preparations, as an official applies petroleum jelly on his face before he puts on his mouthguard. However, as he's reminded to wear a cup, a short compilation of Gane's various low blows across different fights pops up. This is followed by a compilation of Gane landing shots to the back of the head, prompting Aspinall to wear a helmet. Finally, as he's set to enter the cage, a compilation of Gane's eye pokes is played, causing Aspinall to flip on the helmet's visor.

Before the infamous Gane fight at UFC 321, Aspinall was on a three-fight win streak, with every fight coming by way of first-round knockout/TKO. Gane, though, presented a stiff challenge, and outstruck Aspinall for the better part of four minutes before poking him in both eyes. With Aspinall rendered unable to continue fighting, the bout was ruled a no-contest. Afterward, Aspinall was diagnosed with Brown syndrome, requiring multiple eye surgeries, with no exact return date. The UFC elected to book an interim heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Gane in his absence, with the bout taking place at UFC Freedom 250.
It took Gane two rounds to drop and TKO Pereira, claiming the interim heavyweight title for the second time in his career. Unfortunately, his performance was once again spoiled by talk of fouls, as Pereira has since complained about suffering shots to the back of the head, while simultaneously calling for an immediate rematch and threatening to appeal the result.
