UFC Mexico prepares to rock the Arena CDMX in the most sprawling and most populated city in North America, Mexico City. Making his return to action, the country’s native hero Brandon Moreno readies himself for another climb towards the top when he locks horns with top prospect Lone’er Kavanagh in the UFC Mexico main event. Before that, Marlon Vera tests himself against one of the best bantamweights on the planet, David Martinez.

UFC Mexico Main Event:

In the beginning of his 2025 run, Moreno looked to be on track in his pursuit of his previous throne after dismantling Steve Erceg back in March, but a knockout loss to Tatsuro Taira brought him all the way back to square one. Never dwelling on his defeats for very long, “The Assassin Baby” leaps into battle once more to take on another stalwart challenge in UFC Mexico.

Training out of Great Britain Top Team, Kavanagh was once one of the premier undefeated fighters on the whole UFC roster, winning his first two bouts in the company in a row. However, a shocking knockout setback to Charles Johnson saw his time in the unbeaten ranks come to a disappointing conclusion. Settling for nothing less but squaring off with the best of the best, the 26-year old steps up on short-notice for UFC Mexico’s main event in what will be the biggest contest of his life.

Registering just one knockdown across his entire 12-year tenure with the UFC, Vera is a combatant who does not fold under pressure in the standup department, with the Ecuadorian having notched wins over other outstanding strikers like Davey Grant, Rob Font and Sean O’Malley. At UFC Mexico, “Chito” will endeavor to halt an unfortunate three-fight losing skid.

At 27-years of age, Martinez has all the makings of a future great at 135-lb after logging an incredible last year by punching his ticket into the rankings with a monumental upset triumph over Rob Font Noche UFC 3. Poised to continue his rapid ascension, “Black Spartan” takes to the cage again as a leading star on the UFC Mexico main card.
