Payton Talbott calls out Sean O’Malley after stopping Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 332 and demands the fight fans want.

Payton Talbott is wasting no time tracking down his next target after yet another stunning statement win at UFC 332. The up-and-coming bantamweight contender knocked out former two-time UFC flyweight champ Deideson Figueiredo in the first round before shifting his sights to former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley.

Talbott Calls Out O'Malley After Figueiredo Finish

Talbott entered UFC 332 aiming to follow up his impressive win over former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. The 28-year-old delivered another strong performance, overpowering Figueiredo with precise striking before finishing him off with a first-round TKO at 2:09.

The win gives the 28-year-old back-to-back wins over former UFC champions and improves his record to 12-1 overall and 6-1 inside the Octagon. With yet another big name added to his resume, Talbott says he wants to face another former champion next.

A Potential High-Stakes Bantamweight Clash

O'Malley would represent yet another serious test for Talbott, who has been rapidly establishing himself as one of the most intriguing young contenders of the division. Before UFC 332, he had already defeated both Felipe Lima and Cejudo, with his only UFC loss being to Raoni Barcelos in January 2026.

The callout also follows on from Talbott claiming O'Malley had been unwilling to previously fight him. However, O'Malley strictly disputed that characterization, adding yet another layer of intrigue to the potential matchup.

Talbott's performance against Figueiredo could put him in contention for a major fight. CBS Sports analyst Brian Campbell said that he had already outgrown showcase matchups and suggested that O'Malley would be the perfect next opponent in a possible No.1 contender fight.

As of now, Talbott has made his preference known. Having dismantled another former champ, he wants O'Malley next.
