Paddy Pimblett, Darren Till, Judging and All things UFC 282

The podacst crew are back this week with an explosive episode focussing on all things UFC 282. From fight week antics, questionable interviews and shocking judging decisions, Tim Wheaton and Frazer Krohn go in-depth on all the biggest talking points.

The latest show can be caught on Youtube, Spotify or Apple podcasts.

Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett was thrust into the spotlight during fight week after the original main event fell out and his fight with Jared Gordon was promoted to the co-main event. During fight week, Pimblett had UFC boss, Dana White on his podcast and the two started a strange feud with MMA journalist, Ariel Helwani. Helwani responded and it wasn’t a good look for Pimblett.

The MMASucka podcast crew discuss the issue, give their thoughts on the matter and who they believe came off better. They then go on to discuss the questionable decision to award Paddy Pimblett the win over Gordon. They break down the fight, question whether the judges got it right and what might be next for The Baddy.

Darren Till

Unfortunately for fans of The GorillaDarren Till, he fell to 1-5 in his last six bouts. He was unable to stop the takedown of his UFC 282 opponentDricus de Plessis, which ultimately lost him the fight. Frazer discusses the ways in which he thinks that Till can get back to winning ways, including a potential weight-class change again.

Tim believes that du Plessis could potentially make the top 5 of the division and the crew debate who he could face next, how he matches up with the upper end of the division and whether the UFC may even cut Till.

205 Picture

The podcast comes to a close with the guys discussing the light heavyweight title picture. As it stands, the division is a mess. The UFC 282 main event saw Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev fight to a draw, leaving the title vacant. During the post-fight press conference, Dana White announced that Glover Teixeria and Jamahal Hill would compete for the belt at UFC 283 next month in Brazil.
