Best Bets

Anderson Silva ($11,900) – If anyone on this card is an almost guaranteed winner, in my mind that is Silva. He outclasses Diaz in almost every aspect of this contest and will likely be the first man to finish the 209 Bad Boy since 2007.

Derek Brunson ($11,700) – Brunson is the largest favorite on paper that this UFC 183 fight card has to offer — sitting at a -550 over Ed Herman. The former Strikeforce talent should be able to utilize his distance and superior wrestling to make everything Herman has to offer stagnant.

Underdog Picks

Tyron Woodley ($9,700) – Almost the entire main card is a toss of the coin and the only reason the fight between Woodley and Kelvin Gastelum is, is because the latter has been able to pick up wins that everyone thought he shouldn’t. Gastelum beat Jake Ellenberger in his last outing, however he is not the likes of Woodley. “T-Wood” will try to push the pace and the underdog pick in this one could be big money for you in the end.

Joe Lauzon ($9,200) – Even though Lauzon is coming in as the underdog in this bout against Al Iaquinta, more than likely the fight goes to the judges scorecards. Both combatants will push the pace, throw flurries of punches and attempt submission holds. If the Bostonian comes up short in the end, he will still rack up the points because of the pace the two fighters hold.
