Szymon Bajor is Ready for FEN 32 Title Eliminator Bout

Szymon Bajor and Ednaldo Oliveria will meet in a title eliminator at FEN 32: LOTOS Fight Night 4 this Saturday, February 20, 2021, in Poland. This will be the first event of 2021 hosted by FEN. Aside from lightweight champion Mateusz Rebecki defending his title in the main event, the main card will also feature a huge clash between heavyweight contenders Szymon Bajor and Ednaldo Oliveria. Ready to get another crack at the champion, Oli Thompson, Bajor knows what he needs to do to come out victorious and earn the future shot at Thompson. The event can be seen worldwide on the FEN website and will air Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 12:00 noon CST.

Title Shot Within Hand’s Reach

Bajor is one of Europe’s top heavyweights, currently ranked as Eastern Europe’s #3-ranked heavyweight. The KSW and RIZIN veteran has had quite the run in Fight Exclusive Night (FEN) thus far, compiling a 3-1 record inside the organization. His lone loss, to the champion Oli Thompson, will soon be rectified and avenged. “My fight at the FEN gala is the qualifier for the title fight. The organizers ensure that Oli Thompson is ready to defend the belt and that the winner. will get the match,” Bajor told MMA Sucka. “I do not analyze at the moment what will happen if I win. Now I am devoting my energy, attention, and focus to implement my fight plan in the upcoming duel.”

Szymon Bajor: Managing 2020 and Looking Forward

As with many fighters around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic had an effect on fighters’ ability to train and compete. Bajor was able to compete twice in 2020, going 1-1. “Poland had also been hit by the pandemic. It is hard to train during the restrictions introduced, but together with the coaches, we manage. It is difficult to find high sparring partners because due to the pandemic, not all fighters want to train. I believe that I was able to prepare well in the prevailing conditions,” stated Bajor.

Bajor has a tough roadblock though if he wants that second crack at the title. Oliveria enters the contest at 21-7-1 and a handful of UFC bouts under his belt. 13 of Oliveria’s wins have come by finish as well. Taking 2020 off, we will see if that helps or hurts Oliveria taking on such a disciplined and hard-training fighter like Bajor. “After closing the cage, I will be focused and ready to implement the assumed plan!” said Bajor.
