UFC Long Island goes down this weekend live from the UBS Arena. Headlining the card is a pair of exciting featherweights when former title challenger, Brian Ortega takes on potential future challenger, Yair Rodriguez. Although both men are coming off of losses, this doesn’t take away from the excitement surrounding the bout itself.
The co-main event will see strawweights, Michelle Waterson-Gomez facing off against Amanda Lemos. ‘The Karate Hottie’ will be looking to extend her 115 lbs winning streak to two, having competed up at flyweight last time out. Lemos, fresh off a main event loss to Jessica Andrade will be looking to get back in the win column.
Elsewhere, we have the return of Li Jingliang, a potential fight of the year contender when Shane Burgos takes on Charles Jourdain and the flyweight debut of Miesha Tate.
The standout fight on the preliminary card takes place in the bantamweight division where Jack Shore takes on Ricky Simon. Shore is taking a huge step up in competition and looks to extend his undefeated winning run.
