The first UFC Fight Night of 2020 will be live from Raleigh, North Carolina as UFC Fight Night 166 goes down Saturday night. In the main event, two top heavyweight contenders fight to climb towards another title shot. Coming off of back-to-back wins, Curtis Blaydes will look to pick up one of his biggest wins. His most recent outing was in September at UFC 242 when he defeated Shamil Abdurakhimov via TKO in round two. Blaydes will be facing off against former UFC heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos. In his last four fights, dos Santos is 3-1, most recently losing to Francis Ngannou last summer. However, he was on a three fight win streak prior, grabbing wins over Blagoy Ivanov, Tai Tuivasa and Derrick Lewis.
In the co-main event, former UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos takes on Michael Chiesa in a welterweight clash. Since moving up to welterweight in 2017, dos Anjos has gone 4-3, picking up wins over Tarec Saffiedine, Neil Magny and Kevin Lee. His most notable win came in 2017 as he defeated former champion, Robbie Lawler. His only losses have come to Kamaru Usman, who would become champion, Colby Covington, and Leon Edwards. Covington just recently fought for the title and Edwards may possibly get his chance very soon. As for Chiesa, his welterweight debut came in 2018 when he defeated Carlos Condit with a kimura in round two of their UFC 232 contest. He would then go on to defeat Diego Sanchez at UFC 239 last summer by unanimous decision.
