The UFC is back as they return to Las Vegas for the second week in a row and we will have UFC Fight Night 174 Results all night long. In the main event, former UFC heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis returns to the octagon to take on Aleksei Oleinik. Oleinik enters the fight looking for his sixtieth career win as he is coming off a two fight win streak. Over that time he defeated Maurice Greene at UFC 246, submitting him with an armbar. His next outing, being his most recent, came at UFC 249 when he faced former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.

Lewis is also coming into the fight on a two fight win streak. He first defeated Blagoy Ivanov by unanimous decision at UFC 244 before defeating Ilir Latifi in his last fight at UFC 247. Both fighters look to pick up a win in a heavyweight division that should finally open up soon.

UFC Fight Night 174 Results

In the co-main event, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman returns from a brief stint at light heavyweight to take on Omari Akhmedov. Akhmedov enters the fight on a six fight unbeaten streak, going 5-0-1. The one draw on his record came in a 2017 fight against Marvin Vettori at UFC 219. Since then he has gone 3-0, putting together unanimous decision wins in all three of those fights. The first two wins came in fights against Tim Boetsch and Zak Cummings. In his most recent fight, Akhmedov defeated Ian Heinisch by unanimous decision at UFC 245.

As for Weidman, after a fight of the night loss by knockout at the hands of Ronaldo Souza at UFC 230, Weidman made the jump to 205. In his light heavyweight debut, he faced off against Dominick Reyes in the main event of UFC on ESPN 6. Weidman would lose by first round knockout as Reyes earned at shot at the champion.

Kicking off the main card will be a fight in the lightweight division as Beneil Dariush takes on Scott Holtzman. Dariush has recently put together four straight wins with his most recent coming over Drakkar Klose by second round knockout. As for Holtzman, he enters the fight off two straight wins, most recently defeating Jim Miller by unanimous Decision. After that will be a women’s bantamweight fight bewteen former featherweight title challenger Yana Kunitskaya and Julija Stoliarenko. Stoliarenko is making her UFC debut coming off five straight wins while Kunitskaya most recently lost by TKO to Aspen Ladd. Finally, before the main event will be a fight in the middleweight division as Maki Pitolo takes on Darren Stewart. Pitolo enters the fight coming off a TKO win over Charles Byrd while Stewart lost to Bartosz Fabinski in his last outing.
