Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart Fight to No Decision After Foul

The fighters came out to open the first round and met in the middle of the Octagon. Darren Stewart started off early, getting his jabs going. Anders looked to get inside Stewart’s reach and ate some big shots trying to do so. Anders opted for the clinching game against the fence to attempt to get the fight to the canvas. Anders stuck to Stewart and on the break landed some damaging shots.

Anders began to get the better of the standup and dropped Stewart with a big right hand and followed him to the canvas. Anders unloaded on Stewart along the fence and it was nearly stopped on a couple of occasions. Then, with a flashback to Petr Yan, Anders landed an illegal knee. After a few minutes, they waved off the fight and it was ruled a no contest. The knee didn’t look very damaging and had Stewart not already been so badly compromised, he could have continued.

The fighters were not interviewed after the fight.
