ONE Lights Out

ONE: Lights Out will see ONE Championship’s Lightweight and Featherweight titles be contested. The evening’s main event, reigning and defending champion Thanh Le will look to defend his lightweight title against multiple-time jiu-jitsu champion Gary Tonon. Le will be seeking a knockout while Tonon will be hunting for a submission finish. In the co-main event, the former DREAM featherweight and bantamweight champion, Bibiano Fernandes will be defending his ONE Championship featherweight title against knockout machine John Lineker. Both fighters will be urgently seeking a finish in this fight. For this fights and all bouts on ONE Lights Out results are listed below on this page.

Defending champion Thanh Le has an extremely impressive finish rate with 92% of his fights being won by way of KO/TKO. And he will be looking to continue this trend at ONE Lights Out. His opponent, Gary Tonon, will also be looking to finish in this fight and will be looking to take even more championship gold with him. Tonon already holds many Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu titles and medals, a ONE Championship belt will be his first MMA title. Tonon is currently undefeated in MMA.

“It’s got that old striker-versus-grappler feel,” Defending champion Thanh Le said,  “But it’s got that hybrid twist to it. Like an updated armor suit for Iron Man. He can grapple at the highest level and he can strike a little, and I can strike at the highest level but I can grapple a little bit. It’s going to be really interesting to see this play out. Old school with a new twist on it.”

“The further along the journey I go, the less it is about [just getting the fight to the ground],” Tonon said, “And now more about precisely putting together the pieces of the puzzle involving striking. It’s been an evolution, from the bare minimum [striking] to win a fight, to being the most dangerous Garry Tonon that I can be.” This fight and more for ONE Lights Out Results can be found below.

Impressively, the featherweight champion, Fernandes, holds the record for most title defenses in ONE Championship, and at ONE Lights Out he will be looking to extend his defense record even further. Standing in his way is the power striker Lineker. The title challenger is always seeking the knockout in all of his fights. “This highly-anticipated matchup is one of 2022’s greatest, and there is not a single fan of mixed martial arts who should be sleeping on the bantamweight title tilt.” Writes MMA Sucka. From DREAM titles to ONE Titles how does Fernandes keep his motivation so high, “Michael Jordan [said], motivation comes from the words of the enemy. But in my case,” Fernandes said, “It comes from the inside. I don’t let exterior things influence me. My motivation comes from the inside.”

“Every fight I look for the knockout,” John Lineker said on what his gameplan will be, “This fight will be no different, I’m going for the knockout. That’s what I want to do, I always visualize myself winning by knockout. And I’m going to try to get it done by the second round.”

Also featured on ONE Lights Out is Australia’s Martin Nguyen fighting hard for a win against Kiril Gorobets, of Ukraine. Gorobets is on an impressive 9 fight win streak and will be looking for a title shot soon. Also, heavyweight kickboxer Ismael Londt will be facing off against Iran’s Iraj Azizpour. Plus, British-born striker Iman Barlow, who has an incredible list of titles, will meet Argentina’s Daniela López in a Muay Thai fight.
