ONE Championship is gearing up for a hot start to the 2023 campaign with the addition of its first title match for ONE on Prime Video 6. The event, which will take place in Bangkok on Friday, January 13, is already lined up with the mixed-rules superfight between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen. Joining them will be a ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship bout between Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Alaverdi Ramazanov.

Nong-O is a bonafide legend in the sport. Since joining ONE, he has arguably been the most dominant he has been throughout his illustrious career. The Thai star is a perfect 9-0 in ONE competition and is riding four consecutive stoppage victories. In his most recent performance, Nong-O defended the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title against Liam Harrison with excruciating leg kicks at ONE on Prime Video 1.

But Ramazanov will bring a unique set of challenges to the reigning bantamweight king. “Babyface Killer” completed back-to-back wins over Pongsiri PK.Saenchai and Capitan Petchyindee to earn his shot at the undisputed champion. The 27-year-old will look to upend Nong-O with his power and unorthodox movement. And he is a former champion in his own right as the former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion.

The two were initially slated to meet each other when Ramazanov held that title. However, the match was scrapped when the COVID-19 pandemic caused shutdowns around the globe. The match was rebooked for ONE X earlier this year but was scrapped again. ONE on Prime Video 6 will be the charm as the third time the match has been inked.

While the electric Muay Thai matchup is the first title bout booked for ONE on Prime Video 6, it will most certainly not be its last. Nong-O vs. Ramazanov is a fantastic matchup to continue the sport’s rise in the United States. It will be a brilliant showcase of dynamic Muay Thai skills in four-ounce gloves.

MMASucka will have more ONE on Prime Video 6 announcements as they are revealed by ONE.
