PFL Announces 2023 PFL Europe Season Roster

Yesterday the PFL announced their full 2023 PFL Europe Season Roster per a press release. There are some interesting names on the list and features 32 fighters from 14 different countries, competing across four different weight divisions all inside the PFL SmartCage.

As we know, the PFL are returning to Europe from their European Season including shows in Newcastle, Berlin and Paris with the finals taking place in Dublin in December. The winner will take home $100,000 and earn the chance to earn a spot on the PFL Global Roster and consequently the famous $1 million season prize.

The four weight classes taking centre stage will be men’s light heavyweight, women’s flyweight, men’s bantamweight and men’s lightweight.

The full roster is as follows:

Men’s light heavyweight

  • Simeon Powell (UK)

  • Mohamed Amine (Holland)

  • Kenneth Bergh (Norway)

  • Jakob Nedoh (Slovenia)

  • Anthony Salamone (France)

  • Daniel Ladero (Spain)

  • Damien Remy (France)

The standout in the men’s light heavyweight is without a doubt, Simeon Powell. The other light heavyweight to keep an eye on is Jakob Nedoh. Nedoh holds a 5-1 record, is undefeated since 2014 and has finished all five of his wins, including two under the Brave FC banner.

Women’s Flyweight

  • Dakota Ditcheva (UK)

  • Clara Riciguolo (France)

  • Griet Eechkout (Belgium)

  • Mafalda Carmona (Portugal)

  • Cornelia Holm (Sweden)

  • Marta Waliczek (Poland)

  • Lizzy Gevers (Holland)

  • Valentina Scatizzi (Italy)

The flyweight roster is Dakota Ditcheva‘s division. She’s the poster girl for a reason and should breeze through each and every opponent in the division.

Men’s Bantamweight

  • Ali Taleb (Sweden)

  • Dominique Wooding (UK)

  • Francesco Nuzzi (Italy)

  • Frans Mlambo (Ireland)

  • Farbod Iran Nezhad (Germany)

  • Kenji Bortoluzzi (Switzerland)

  • Khurshed Kakhorov (Germany)

  • Mokthar Benkaci (France)

The bantamweight roster is, without a doubt the most competitive of the four announced. Dominique WoodingFrancesco Nuzzi, Mokthar Benkaci and Ali Taleb are arguably the standouts, however, Frans Mlambo holds a win over Wooding and the others on the roster are all highly experienced. This one is going to be exciting.

Men’s Lightweight

  • Acoidan Duque (Spain)

  • Aleksandr Chizov (Latvia)

  • Connor Hughes (UK)

  • Dylan Tuke (Ireland)

  • Geysim Derouiche (France)

  • John Mitchell (Ireland)

  • Rodu Maxim (Italy)

  • Jakub Kaszuba (Poland)

Aleksandr Chizov has already proven himself at PFL London and will be a problem for everyone at 155lbs. Connor Hughes and Jakub Kaszuba both have undefeated records with plenty of finishes included. Chizov should be the favourite, but again, the lightweights will be competitive.

Elsewhere during the PFL Europe media day, the promotion announced the signing of highly touted Muay Thai practitioner, Sammy-Jo Luxton. Luxton is set to make her professional boxing debut on the upcoming Floyd Mayweather undercard and will make her PFL debut later this year.
