The second half of the PFL‘s 2024 regular season kicks off at the dinner hour tonight with PFL 4. Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT is the host venue for tonight’s MMA event. ESPN+ is the place for gavel-to-gavel coverage beginning at 5:30 pm ET/ 2:30 pm PT with the early card, followed at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT on ESPN proper.
It’s win or go home time for women’s flyweights and heavyweights this evening. By night’s end, two of the six playoff brackets will be all set.

Main Event
Your headlining bout tonight takes place at 265 lbs. Valentin Moldavsky (13-3, 1 NC MMA, 1-0 2024 PFL, six points in the standings) will get into the playoffs with a win by any method over Linton Vassell (24-9, 1 NC MMA, 0-1 2024 PFL, zero points in the standings.) He’ll also book a playoff spot if the earlier Marcelo Golm vs. Tyrell Fortune fight advances beyond the opening round.
In order for Vassell to advance to the Aug. 2 postseason, he’ll have to win by stoppage in the opening round. Anything else and he’ll be done for the season after tonight. This is a three-round affair at five minutes per round.
Co-Main Event
Immediately prior, you’ll see a fight at women’s flyweight. Dakota Ditcheva (11-0 MMA, 1-0 2024 PFL, six points in the standings) clashes with Chelsea Hackett (4-2-1 MMA, 0-1 2o24 PFL, zero points in the standings.)
Ditcheva books a playoff spot with a win, while Hackett needs a victory by the 4:14 mark into round one to stay alive in the postseason race.
Rest of the Card
Also on the main card tonight, you’ll see a heavyweight bout matching Denis Goltsov (33-8 MMA, 1-0 2024 PFL, four points in the standings) with Thiago Santos (22-10, 1 NC MMA, 0-0 2024 PFL, zero points in the standings) [who moves up from light heavyweight] and a women’s flyweight contest between Liz Carmouche (21-7 MMA, 1-0 2024 PFL, three points in the standings) and Kana Watanabe (13-2-1 MMA, 1-0 2024 PFL, three points in the standings.)
In the case of the Goltsov/ Santos contest, Denis Goltsov will clinch a postseason spot if he wins by any method and Santos needs to stop Goltsov by the 3:14 mark of round one to clinch, while Carmouche or Watanabe will advance to the 125-lb. bracket if either fighter defeats her opponent by stoppage at any point in the fight, with the loser’s season ending.
