UFC Fight Night 162 Results

The UFC makes its first trip to Singapore in 2019 as they head to Kallang for UFC Fight Night 162. The main event will see two of the sports most experienced grapplers face off against each other. After the first three-fight losing streak of his career starting with a title fight loss, Demian Maia has since won two straight fights. He returns to the octagon, looking for a third consecutive victory as he faces former ONE Championship and Bellator champion, Ben Askren. Askren returns the octagon just under four months after his brutal five second knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239. Prior to the loss, Askren was undefeated having won his UFC debut over former champion Robbie Lawler in March.

In the co-main event, Michael Johnson returns to lightweight after a brief stint at featherweight. In his return, he faces Scotland‘s Stevie Ray. Ray enters the fight winning only one of his last four with a recent knockout loss to Leonardo Santos at UFC Fight Night 153. Johnson made the drop down to featherweight last year as his debut came against Darren Elkins at UFC Fight Night 124. He would spend a little over a year fighting at featherweight, missing weight only one time, as he went 2-2 at 145. His most recent bout came at UFC on ESPN 2 when he was knocked out by Josh Emmett.
