GLORY 80 Studio Event – GLORY80+

The main event will put the GLORY lightweight championship on the line with Tyjani Beztati looking to defend his title against Canada’s Josh Jauncey. These two fighters first fought in 2019 with no title on the line. Beztati walked away as the victor and would later earn a GLORY Championship title.

The Champion Beztati sat down with MMA Sucka to discuss this fight. Since their first fight, he said he’s gotten a lot better regardless of what Jauncey brings. He said, “I don’t think about what he’s going to bring… He needs to worry what I’m going to bring because I’m not the same fighter as three years ago. I’ve improved a lot. And when I say a lot I mean a lot.”

The title challenger Jauncey is entering this match looking to secure the legacy of his family and for himself. In an interview with MMA Sucka, and said, “I’ve wanted a rematch regardless of whether it’s for the title or not. But I’m even happier with the title on the line…  For me, it’s about the legacy – about becoming the best […] If I’m not on the way to being the best, I don’t want to do it.”

This GLORY Kickboxing card will host three fights. The second match is in the heavyweight division and it’s a rematch. The Croatian knockout artist Antonio Plazibat will look to repeat his success against ‘The Tank” Tarik Khbabez. Khbabez is a Moroccan fighter who will be seeking to avenge his earlier loss. While Plazibat will look to knockout this opponent and put his name in GLORY heavyweight title contention.

This event will be opened by two heavyweight fighters making their debut in GLORY. Nigeria’s Kevin Tariq Osaro will meet Rhys Brudenell, of England. Ahead of this fight Brudenell spoke with MMA Sucka about what it means to be fighting in GLORY Kickboxing. He said, “It’s a dream come true for me.”
