Aleksandre Topuria’s highly anticipated UFC return is officially set, with the bantamweight prospect booked for a matchup at UFC Qatar in November.
After a few weeks of rumors and reports that Aleksandre Topuria is making his highly anticipated octagon return in November at UFC Qatar, the speculation finally came to an end as UFC officially announced that the Spaniard is fighting at the Qatar Fight Night event.
Aleksandre Topuria returns to the octagon at UFC Qatar
UFC is heading to Qatar for the second time, and the event will take place on November 21, 2026, at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena (ABHA Arena) in Doha.
The last time Topuria fought was at the inaugural UFC event in Qatar, where he took on Bekzat Almakhan. He displayed his fighting skills and secured an impressively dominant unanimous decision victory.
Now, Topuria is set to return to Qatar again on November 21. He will fight Santiago Luna in the bantamweight division. The UFC officially announced the matchup on its Instagram account, with Jiri Prochazka vs. Navajo Stirling headlining the UFC Qatar event.
Topuria's debut had plenty of eyeballs on him, as he is the older brother of former two-division champion Ilia Topuria. Aleksandre made his UFC debut back in February 2025 against Colby Thicknesse. He showcased his wrestling and striking credentials and secured a unanimous decision victory, proving that he is one of the serious prospects in the bantamweight division.

Meanwhile, his opponent, Luna, suffered a defeat in his most recent UFC outing against Bryce Mitchell, submitting to an arm triangle in the third round.
Luna knocked out Quang Le in the first round in his UFC debut, announcing his arrival in the promotion in style. In his second fight, he secured a unanimous decision victory over Angel Pacheco before suffering a submission loss to Mitchell.
Aleksandre and Luna have each suffered just one defeat in their careers. The Spaniard has seven wins to his name, while 'Borderboy' has eight. It will be an exciting night at UFC Qatar, and it will be interesting to see who gets his hand raised and who suffers his second career defeat.
