Bella Mir has provided fight fans with an insight on her possible entry into the UFC's DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series), as well as the plans for wrestling, BJJ, and her combat sports career overall.

Bella Mir appears to be going full steam ahead in her combat sports career in 2026.

Bella (4-0 MMA), who's the daughter of mixed martial arts legend and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, is hailed by many as one of the top prospects in MMA and the broader combat sports dominion today.

Mir partook in the UFC's ongoing International Fight Week festivities ahead of UFC 329, whilst putting forth some interesting revelations concerning her fighting career.

Bella Mir has competed in multiple combat sports at a young age

Bella Mir, born in the year 2003, has been tirelessly working on her athletic endeavors for years. She's already made a mark in the fight game at a very young age, having competed in MMA, BJJ, and wrestling.

Mir's most recent MMA matchup witnessed her defeat Stephanie Calderon via first-round submission at Fury Challenger Series 14 in July of last year. She's since partaken in freestyle wrestling and fought in BJJ under the UFC BJJ banner as well.

Bella Mir's combat sports plans -- talks competing in MMA in the UFC, wrestling in the RAF and elsewhere, and more

During a conversation with MMA Fighting's Mike Heck at the red carpet of the 17th edition of the World MMA Awards in Las Vegas earlier this week, Bella Mir opened up about her combat sports plans.

Heck alluded that rumors are rife that Mir could compete in the UFC's DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) this summer. When asked if there have been, at least, discussions regarding the same, Mir stated, "Yes. Yes, sir. I'm just excited to get it going. Hopefully, I can get something announced soon. But yeah, there's some discussions going on."

Additionally, Heck questioned whether her fighting at DWCS is a done deal and if we could look forward to seeing her there. Mir replied, "Most likely. Yeah."

The discussion then segued into Mir's oft-discussed foray into the world of wrestling. She's notably competed in the sport of freestyle wrestling under the RAF (Real American Freestyle) wrestling banner in the past.

The rising combat sports star is also set to wrestle against Kennedy Blades, who's an Olympic silver medalist and a fearsome wrestler, in a Final X matchup. They're expected to wrestle later this year. It's a matchup that was postponed after Blades suffered an injury.

On that note, there are concerns that Mir's DWCS stint could hinder her wrestling career. She, for her part, seemed to suggest that competing in MMA was always a significant part of her plan, adding that she's confident about achieving success in whatever combat sport she chooses to compete in.

Regarding her possibly joining the DWCS and earning a UFC contract to compete in MMA bouts on the UFC main roster, Mir said, "This was always the plan. I think my plan is just always taking every opportunity thrown at me. And if it happens to be MMA, or wrestling, or whatever it is."

She added, "And this, actually, is perfectly timed for me. I made the U-23 World Team for wrestling. That's in the end of October... Then, obviously, also train for Final X 'cause Kennedy pulled out for injury... And then, hopefully, UFC BJJ title fight coming soon."

The flyweight MMA fighter underlined that she'd have just enough time to compete in MMA in the DWCS, then train and compete in wrestling for the Under-23 World Championships. Furthermore, Mir expressed interest in the RAF as well, signaling that she'd like to compete on an RAF card soon.
