Blockbuster Tommy McMillen to Return at UFC Noche

Fan favourite Tommy McMillen is set for his third official UFC outing and will get his wish, as it is set to take place at UFC Noche on September 12th. 'Gun' will return after only competing on July 18th, scoring an eye-catching victory over Alberto Montes.

On that occasion, he picked up a $100k bonus for a truly spectacular performance. He would land a total of 255 strikes, of which 252 were significant, on his way to a third-round victory. He would throw a total of 517 strikes and grab headlines, not only for his fighting style, but for his overall persona. The victory would be a record-breaking one, and understandably so. 

Tommy McMillen to Make Quick Turnaround 

Training out of the same gym as Tim Welch and former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley, McMillen has no shortage of firepower in the gym. He's brash, confident and doesn't mind shooting his shot. 

Since picking up the big win in July, the Montana native has been doing the podcast rounds and recently made an outlandish claim. Despite being just 2-0 in the UFC, he claimed that the current featherweight king, Alexander Volkanovski, wouldn't be able to hang with him: "I’ll take Volk. He’s like 42 years old, he’s 5’5”, what’s his path to victory?”.

It won't be the champion who is next for Tommy McMillen; it'll be a fellow undefeated, dangerous prospect in Marwan Rahiki.

Undefeated Prospects Meet at UFC Noche

Live from Glendale, Arizona, UFC Noche will play host to a battle of highly regarded, undefeated prospects as Tommy McMillen clashes with Marwan Rahiki.

Rahiki has made a name for himself, similar to McMillen, with eye-catching performances. Both men's UFC tenures thus far have mirrored each other, with each man gaining a contract on the Contender Series before blasting away their first two opponents.

Rahiki is the proud owner of a performance of the night bonus on his debut, much like McMillen, although the American has two post-fight bonuses in two fights.

'Freaky' is 9-0 with nine finishes, eight knockouts and a single submission. McMillen is 11-0 with five finishes via knockout, five via submission and one decision.

Don't expect this one to go the distance as both men like to go in there, stand and bang and finish things early. This one has fight of the night written all over it.
