Dana White Frustrated with Eddie Hearn Following Tyson Fury Fight Fiasco

Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua could have been the biggest boxing event in recent years. Unfortunately, the future of the fight looks quite uncertain at the moment. That’s because the negotiations have seemingly hit a dead end, despite the fight being finalized.

With UFC CEO Dana White involved in the matchmaking, he is now frustrated with how Eddie Hearn is going about materializing the idea. Expressing his anger, the UFC boss recently went off on Hearn. 

Dana White might Walk Away from High-Profile Fight

Fury has previously praised White’s efforts on how hard he was trying to make the bout happen. Sadly, all of those efforts look to have gone in vain. In a recent interaction with iFL TV, White put forth his unfiltered thoughts about the fight. He even stated that he was on the verge of giving up on matchmaking. 

“If it happens in the UK, there’s a lot less money involved. My job is to come in, figure out how to make both of those guys money, and make the other people involved money. If Eddie doesn’t like the way this is going down, then rip up the contract and do the fight yourself…whether this fight happens or not, my life goes on, and I’m going to do just fine,” said White. 

White didn't stop there. With the negotiations repeatedly getting stalled, the UFC boss expressed his amazement about how a promoter could allegedly hurt the business aspects of a fight like Hearn.

Joshua vs. Fury fight did receive positive updates in the previous week. But it was at that moment Hearn seemingly had a problem with Turki Alalshikh and Zuffa Boxing. With Hearn adamant about his demands, White pointed out that Hearn is doing more damage to the fight than good. 

“I know he wants to think he’s the promoter…I’ve never seen a guy who is supposed to be the promoter of an event hurt the fight more than this guy has. Pretty fascinating, actually. There is no fight,” said White.

At the moment, with no confirmation, fans will have to wait a bit more to get any updates on the fight.
