Fans Express Disappointment over Gable Steveson’s Statement After Shock Loss

Gable Steveson walked out of the Octagon immediately after he was knocked out by Sean Sharaf. Having lost the bout in an unexpected manner, the Olympic gold medalist received some significant trolling online. Finally, as he broke his silence with a long message, fans do not seem to be pleased with what Steveson had to offer. 

One fan said, “He could’ve used about 400 words less with his post-fight statement.”

Another stated, “Even if the law was changed is wild.”

A third fan commented, “If it’s that easy to get into his head, it will continue to happen. This man was an Olympic athlete, but the fight game is way different. I just don’t know if he’s mentally tough enough to carry on. I don’t even know if I hope that for him.”

Gable Steveson Vows to Come Back Stronger

After losing his second bout in the UFC, rumors about his UFC future are doing the rounds. A lot of critics have questioned whether he will be able to survive in the game, but during his recent statement, Steveson pointed out how Sharaf benefitted from his single mistake. 

As he congratulated his opponent, the Olympian promised, “Just like my wrestling days after my loss, I came back with an undeniable will to win and focus that led me to the top of my sport. The result of Saturday night, I believe, will catapult me to do the same. I will be great, and this won’t deny me.”

With a lot going on, fans will wait to find out what’s next for Steveson.
