Sean Sharaf Gives Fitting Reply to His Doubters

The Gable Steveson vs. Sean Sharaf fight looked like a straightforward matchup for the Olympic gold medalist, but by the time the bout came to an end, fans were shocked. Sharaf had pulled off one of the biggest betting upsets in UFC history.

The fight only lasted 12 seconds before Sharaf knocked out the hot favorite Steveson. Ahead of the bout, there were a lot of talks about Sharaf’s lack of performance. After registering a historic win, Sharaf decided to clear out his opinions about his doubters. 

Following the victory, the UFC heavyweight star explained his situation to his fans. Sharaf stated, “It was like this reaction that people thought I was screwed. People were saying enjoy it before you get slept. He's got two arms, two legs and he bleeds like everyone else"

Sharaf’s UFC career did not look promising at all. Having lost back-to-back matches, the fighter seemed low in confidence. But that did not reflect inside the octagon. Instead, he scored the third-fastest KO in the history of the UFC. Having addressed Steveson as a ‘rap**t,’ Sharaf upped the ante before the bout. Now, Sharaf has proved that he has the credibility to compete at the highest level. 

Team Gable Steveson Shrugs off Sean Sharaf Loss

Steveson could not believe what just transpired with him at UFC 331. Immediately after the bout was over, the former Olympian walked out of the octagon. While such an act attracted significant controversy, Steveson’s team did not feel that the loss would do much harm to his career. 

The Olympic gold medalist’s manager, Abe Kawa, said, “It's OK that Gable got caught. It's OK that he was booed. It's OK his opponent talked shit. It's OK that the world is kicking him when down. It's the life he chose. Islam got clipped. Arman has lost. DJ has lost.

GSP lost. DC lost. Jose Aldo lost. All went on to have absolutely legendary careers. We stand by our guy. He will be back real soon, and he will be great!"
