Gable Steveson’s Manager Predicts Strong Comeback Following UFC 331 Loss

Gable Steveson walked inside the Octagon at UFC 331 as the hot favorite. Locking horns against the likes of Sean Sharaf, everybody thought it would be a walk in the park for the Olympic gold medalist.

Unfortunately, Steveson ended up on the wrong side, getting knocked out in 12 seconds. Immediately after the loss, speculations about Steveson’s career being uncertain began to surface. However, his manager seemed quite confident. 

Abe Kawa recently pointed out that the latest loss was just a bad day in the office. Comparing with legends like Georges St-Pierre, Daniel Cormier, Jose Aldo, and more, Kawa stated how the former NCAA champion will bounce back stronger than ever. 

He said, “It's OK that Gable got caught. It's OK that he was booed. It's OK his opponent talked shit. It's OK that the world is kicking him when down. It's the life he chose. Islam got clipped. Arman has lost. DJ has lost. GSP lost. DC lost. Jose Aldo lost. All went on to have absolutely legendary careers. We stand by our guy. He will be back real soon, and he will be great!"

Following his loss, Steveson was booed by the crowd. He also got involved in a controversy when the UFC star decided to walk out of the octagon before the official decision was announced. 

Dana White Unsurprised at Gable Steveson’s Loss

Steveson’s loss was one of the biggest betting upsets in UFC history. Additionally, trying to amp up the heavyweight division, the UFC pushed the Olympic gold medalist significantly, yet despite his loss, the result seemingly did not surprise the UFC boss Dana White at all. 

White said, “Anything is possible when two guys get in there and start fighting. You never know how a fight's . That's why people always ask me, 'Oh, what do you think? Is this guy going to fight this guy after Saturday?' Let's see what happens on Saturday. I don't know what the fight's going to look like.”

Currently, with a lot going on, fans will be eager to see if Steveson can bounce back.
