From Public Feud to Face-to-Face: Eddie Hearn Set to Meet Dana White

Eddie Hearn and Dana White have been trading barbs over Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua for months. Now, the two power brokers will set aside their public feud to meet face-to-face in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Hearn is making a trip to the United States for the meeting to look for common ground over White and Zuffa Boxing's involvement in the Dec. 11 heavyweight blockbuster, reports World Boxing News. The fight is set to take place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium and will be streamed globally on Netflix.

White repeatedly said that he and the UFC are involved, saying, "Not only am I promoting the fight, we're producing the fight. UFC is going to produce the show."

Meanwhile, Hearn argued that the existing arrangements would prevent Zuffa Boxing from even stepping into the event. However, this week, Hearn seemed to ease up on his stance, acknowledging that he was open to discussing TKO's involvement if both parties could reach an agreement.

“I’m happy to sit down,” Hearn said. “And maybe we’ll find a deal.”

Can Hearn and White Find Common Ground?

The meeting follows accusations by Hearn that White and TKO have disregarded contractual agreements, with White insisting that his team has a significant role to play in the event.  Moreover, Hearn has been unimpressed with Zuffa Boxing's early performance, describing its first 10 months as "absolutely abysmal."

The meeting, despite the rhetoric, could mark a transition from public confrontation to negotiation.. Now, Hearn and White have a chance to resolve their differences behind closed doors to ensure the blockbuster takes place without any more promotional drama, with Fury and Joshua finally set to meet.
