Henry Cejudo Wants to Settle the Score With Song Yadong Outside of UFC

Henry Cejudo has issued a chilling callout to former rival Song Yadong in the upcoming RAF Miami event.
Song Yadong has burst into the main scene of things in the UFC recently. Locking horns with Umar Nurmagomedov recently, the UFC star wowed everyone with his elite striking. Knocking out Nurmagomedov, Yadong made a strong statement about his calibre as a fighter. However, as the good wishes keep coming in, Yadongâs former foe, Henry Cejudo, has challenged him for a fight outside of the UFC.
Henry Cejudo Wants to go Up Against Song Yadong in RAF
Cejudo and Yadong met once inside the UFC octagon. The former champion and Yadong fought it out at the UFC Fight Night 252 event. That fight had an early stoppage due to an eye poke, and Yadong took the win via a technical decision. Now, while Cejudo is no longer in Dana Whiteâs promotion, he is willing to run it down on the wrestling mats.
Cejudo told MMA Junkie, âI'd love to wrestle Song Yadong next. I know he's got desire to wrestle in Real American Freestyle, and I would love to welcome him into Real American Freestyle. Let's put the belt on the line. Let's do it in Miami, why not? He's got a couple of weeks.â
He also added that Yadong did not get a lot of injuries from his recent bout against Nurmagomedov. Thus, there was no reason for him not to accept the challenge. Cejudo also had a message for his former foe. The 39-year-old stated, âSo, Song Yadong, I got a message for you â I got a message for you, coward: My eye is permanently damaged forever. You got two weeks to get your ass ready for Real American Freestyle in Miami. I'm making it public right now.â
Cejudo rounded it off by saying that he is ready to face the Chinese mixed martial artist in Miami and then again in Boston in a matter of weeks. Thus, as the former UFC champion is pressing Yadong to sign the RAF contract, fans will be eager to find out whatâs next.
