Jacobe Smith vs. Bruce Whitehead booked for UFC 332
The American welterweight prospect will welcome promotional newcomer Bruce Whitehead to the Octagon on Oct. 3 in Salt Lake City.
UFC 332 has another welterweight bout added to the card. Undefeated prospect Jacobe Smith is expected to face promotional newcomer Bruce Whitehead on short notice at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Oct. 3. The booking was first reported by MMA Mania, which confirmed the matchup with multiple sources.
Jacobe Smith Welcomes UFC Newcomer
Smith made his UFC debut in January 2025 and has quickly emerged as one of the promotion's most promising welterweight prospects. The former NCAA wrestler secured his UFC contract after defeating Christien Savoie by TKO at Dana White's Contender Series.
Undefeated in his professional career, Smith has finished all three of his UFC opponents, including first-round knockouts against Preston Parsons and Josiah Harrell and a submission win over Niko Price. His victory over Harrell, whom he flattened with heavy ground-and-pound and hammerfists, earned him a Performance of the Night bonus in February.
At 30 years old, the undefeated American holds a 12-0 professional record. He was originally scheduled to face Kevin Holland in July before that bout fell through. Now, Smith returns on just nine days' notice looking to extend his perfect record.
Whitehead, meanwhile, will make his UFC debut after competing in Fury FC. The American is expected to step inside the Octagon just 13 days after knocking out Ali Abouzalam in the main event of Fury FC 124. The 29-year-old enters the promotion with an 8-2 professional record and a two-fight winning streak.
Smith and Whitehead are expected to meet on the UFC 332 undercard, which will be headlined by Natalia Silva and Wang Cong in Salt Lake City.
