UFC 332 Main Event is Official - Vacant Title Fight Headlines

It's official, we have a UFC 332 main event, and it's the one no one asked for, no one lusted after, and no one will be interested in!

Brazilian Natalia Silva will face off against China's Wang Cong for the vacant flyweight title in the main event of UFC 332... yes, the main event of a numbered event in the paramount plus era will be headlined by a woman who has featured on a main card just once (Cong), in a losing effort on that single occasion.

The UFC have been looking for a main event for the UFC 332 card, which goes down from Salt Lake City, Utah. The event is less than a month away and clearly, they were struggling for a champion to headline the card. 

If Wang Cong and Natalia Silva fighting for the vacant flyweight strap is the best they can do, the UFC has a major problem.

Journey to UFC 332

Natalia Silva is, without a doubt, deserving of a shot at gold. She's enjoying an impressive 14 fight winning run, of which eight have come in the UFC. On her UFC run, she's notched two finishes. In her past three fights she's defeated three former champions: Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso and Rose Namajunas.

Wang Cong is 5-1 in the UFC. Having scored a big knockout in her debut, she's gone the distance in her most recent four fights. The biggest win on her record is her most recent victory over Tracy Cortez.

The injury that has forced Valentina Shevchenko to vacate her belt hasn't been disclosed yet.
