Kevin Holland Lashes out about Fighters Complaining Too Much about Referees

The UFC is one of the biggest mixed martial arts promotions in the world. With some of the best fighters battling it out, the platform is a vicious one too. However, in recent times, there have been instances when fighters have complained about the officiating too much. This is a trend that Kevin Holland doesn't like. He believes that the UFC is a tough platform and it must remain that way. 

What did Kevin Holland Say About Fighters Complaining too Much?

In recent times, there have been several instances when the UFC fighters stated that the referees were not doing their job properly. According to the UFC veteran, fighters must focus on doing their job inside the octagon and must also be skilful enough to protect themselves. 

Holland said in a recent interview with MMA Fighting, “I have two sons. I don't want my sons to grow up thinking that whining, complaining, and grumbling is normal. There's no excuse for whining and complaining like a little bitch. Next time, do better and learn the craft. Act like a man."

Holland also pointed out a few situations where fighters went off on the referees. 

Kevin Holland Slams Alex Pereira, Jamahal Hill

Elaborating further on the situation, Holland lashed out at Jamahal Hill, complaining about Herb Dean stepping in at UFC 300. He also recalled how the former UFC champion accused Dean of not providing a proper reset. 

Holland argued, “I think we’re all thinking about the Pereira situation. I remember Jamahal was crying about stepping in between them and not giving them a proper reset. Nobody said nothing about that. I think it’s just the same.” 

Holland also hinted at how Alex Pereira complained about bad officiating following his loss against Ciryl Gane.
