Josh Hokit Labels Ciryl Gane 'Coward,' Breaks Down His Mentality Behind Using Illegal Moves
Josh Hokit opined that Ciryl Gane's "coward" mentality causes him to use illegal moves amid fights.
Josh Hokit hopped onto the bandwagon of lambasting Ciryl Gane for using illegal moves during his fights. 'The Incredible Hok' stamped the label of a "coward" on his French adversary's face and also declared that a specific kind of mental framework makes Gane prone to using illegal moves during his fights.

Gane's last two fights, against Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira, placed him under fire from a large chunk of the UFC community for using illegal moves. While his UFC 321 fight against Aspinall ended in a no-contest after Gane poked Aspinall in the eye, his UFC Freedom 250 victory against Pereira was also criticized by many due to the multiple alleged back-of-the-head shots he fired in the fight.
With Hokit scheduled to take on Gane for the undisputed heavyweight title at UFC 334, the American began the war of words by dissing his French opponent for using illegal moves. During his appearance on a recent episode of the Ariel Helwani Show, Hokit derided Gane, calling him a "coward." Replying to Helwani's question about whether Gane was "dirty," Hokit said, "S*it, I just think he is a coward, man."
'The Incredible Hok' also built upon his "coward" remark to highlight how it makes Gane commit to using illegal moves inside the octagon. Hokit said, "He's just a coward and scared. He wants to get out of that octagon so badly, and so quickly that he is willing to just cheat, you know what I'm saying?"

Hokit's comments during the conversation also revealed that he wouldn't be shocked if Gane tried to use illegal moves against him during their UFC 334 encounter. However, he claimed to be immune to at least one of them.
Hokit said, "He could try, you know what I'm saying? But I got the titanium eyes. I mean, that's why they booked me at the end of the day."
After two controversial fights, Gane will look to clean up the untoward reputation that he has created in the community. Hokit's titanium eyes might end up being useless in such a situation.
Hence, sharpening his skills is what Hokit should be focusing on to give himself the best chances to become the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion.
