Josh Hokit, who nearly came to blows with Alex Pereira at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference, has continued his verbal onslaught against the UFC icon.

Josh Hokit has shed light on his plan to fight Alex Pereira, in addition to also reigniting his war of words against the latter.

America's Hokit has seemingly experienced a meteoric rise in the UFC heavyweight division over the past year. The DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) alum is coming off a unanimous decision victory over divisional veteran Curtis Blaydes.

Additionally, Hokit is currently booked to face another mainstay of the 265-pound weight class, Derrick Lewis. They'll clash at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on June 14.

Josh Hokit made personal remarks regarding Alex Pereira, almost initiated a fistfight at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference

During the UFC Freedom 250 press conference in May, Josh Hokit unleashed harangues at some of his fellow fighters present alongside him on the stage. Hokit also made personal remarks regarding Alex Pereira's family, using Pereira's catchword, "Chama."

The term "Chama" literally translates to flame or fire in Brazilian-Portuguese. Nevertheless, it's slang usage, particularly in Pereira's case, is said to imply "Let's go!" -- a battle cry for him and his supporters.

Well, during his press conference rant against the kickboxing and MMA legend, Hokit said, "I'm going to pi** on him. I'm gonna 'Chama' on your mama." Furthermore, Hokit also taunted UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, who threw a bottle at him in response to his trash talk against himself and Pereira.

Josh Hokit outlines his plan to take on Alex Pereira, jibes at the Brazilian UFC icon

During a recent conversation with MMA Junkie, the No. 5-ranked UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit addressed his upcoming fight as well as his rivalry against Alex Pereira.

Upon being asked what he'd ask for if he secures an emphatic win on the high-profile UFC Freedom 250 card, Hokit stated, "Alex Pereira. I wanna 'Chama' on Alex Pereira's mama."

Hokit then appeared to mockingly reference the fan outrage about him making the aforementioned personal remark concerning Pereira's mother. The American fighter questioned what "Chama" means. He speculated that Pereira could be playing everyone and that it could be a swear word such as "f**k you."

Calling out Pereira, Hokit added, "I want Pereira. I mean, he's a legend of the sport, at least that's what everyone's saying." He jibed, "And I just think he came into the sport (MMA) at the right time, with a bunch of strikers."

"The Incredible Hok" indicated that he wasn't discrediting Pereira's legendary rivalry with ex-UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. But he insinuated that the Brazilian kickboxer built his MMA career in the UFC courtesy of favorable matchups against strikers, whilst allegedly evading grapplers.

Hokit continued, "But at least he was able to perform a certain way, and get those opponents out of there. And all of his fights are pretty fun to watch. I would like to also use his name to catapult my name. And so, I think he's never faced a guy like me."

Presently, Pereira is booked to fight Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight belt in the co-headlining match of UFC Freedom 250.

Also, Hokit has vowed to beat Derrick Lewis, in their scheduled match on the card, and eventually achieve his goal of capturing heavyweight gold. Meanwhile, UFC heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall is yet to return from his eye injury hiatus.
