Mateusz Gamrot reveals he's signed new deal before UFC Vegas 120 headlining fight with Quillan Salkilld
Mateusz Gamrot is fast approaching his main event matchup against rising star Quillan Salkilld at UFC Vegas 120.
Mateusz Gamrot has long been regarded as one of the most well-rounded fighters in the highly competitive UFC lightweight division.
Gamrot is en route to making his return to the octagon against Australia's Quillan Salkilld next month.
Ahead of their five-round lightweight showdown, Gamrot has taken to social media to announce that he's signed a new contract with the UFC.

Mateusz Gamrot made his professional mixed martial arts debut back in 2012 and went from strength to strength in his career. His UFC promotional debut transpired in 2020, and he's extensively competed inside the octagon since.
The Polish combatant boasts victories over fighters like Arman Tsarukyan, Jalin Turner, Rafael Fiziev, as well as former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. "Gamer" also happens to be a former KSW featherweight and lightweight champion, whom many have hailed as an elite competitor in the UFC's 155-pound division.
Nevertheless, a number of fans have pointed out that a UFC title shot has long eluded the talented fighter. Gamrot, for his part, seems undeterred by the elusiveness and has continued his quest for UFC gold.
Heading into his next octagon appearance, the veteran lightweight put forth an X post, wherein he suggested that he's signed a new multi-year deal with the UFC.
"I've signed a multi deal with UFC! Another step begins in just two weeks, let's gooo." Gamrot posted, capping off his comments with a pair of 'rocket' emojis, alluding to his ambitions and hopes for swift progress.
He proceeded to express his gratitude to the consensus world's premier MMA organization, the UFC. Adding a 'ninja' emoji toward the end of his post, Gamrot wrote:

Mateusz Gamrot vs. Quillan Salkilld -- UFC Vegas 120 matchup pits aggressive lightweights eyeing championship glory
The Mateusz Gamrot vs. Quillan Salkilld 155-pound matchup is booked to headline UFC Vegas 120 at the Meta Apex on August 8. Some view it as a marquee fight between the old guard and the new generation in the UFC lightweight landscape.
The 35-year-old Gamrot is coming off a submission victory against Esteban Ribovics, whom he bested in April.
On the other hand, the 26-year-old Salkilld's latest octagon outing saw him best perennial divisional contender Beneil Dariush via first-round TKO in May. The DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) alum is viewed as a rising star in the UFC.
Both fighters, eyeing UFC title gold, are known for their aggressive style and finishing instincts. The fight's victor is likely to receive a matchup in the top five of the division next. As of this time, Gamrot stands at the No. 6 position in the official Meta UFC rankings, while Salkilld is at the No. 9 spot.
