Mikey Musumeci has revealed his hilarious reaction to Sean Strickland coaching Bryce Mitchell during their UFC BJJ 11 grappling match.
UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland stole the spotlight at UFC BJJ 11. He was cornering his close friend, UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell, for a grappling bout against Mike Musumeci in the main event.
Strickland, known for his outspoken personality, was quite active in cornering Mitchell and even going back and forth with the fans in the crowd. Now, Musumeci has reacted to the middleweight champion's cornering, giving a hilarious response.

UFC BJJ 11 took place at Meta Apex in Las Vegas last Saturday. Musumeci came close to submitting Mitchell on two occasions, but ‘Thug Nasty’ survived and the bout went to distance. The Judges awarded a unanimous decision victory to the 3-rd-degree BJJ black belt star.

Following the grappling match, the UFC middleweight champion shared a photo of himself with Mitchell from the event, which caught the attention of Musumeci. In the comment section, he revealed that Strickland’s antics actually made it difficult for him to stay focused during the match and made him laugh. He also appreciated having the UFC champion at UFC BJJ 11.
“How am I supposed to focus on a match when your coaching made me laugh the whole time, hahahah honor to have you there with us @stricklandmma,” Musumeci commented on Strickland’s post.

Following the event, Musumeci has teased a transition to MMA, as he feels he has done enough in BJJ. This is not the first time he has teased that; during his time at One Championship, he hinted at a similar move, but it never came to fruition.

As for Strickland, in his most recent UFC outing, he secured a split-decision victory against Khamzat Chimaev to reclaim the middleweight throne at UFC 328.
In his next octagon appearance, Strickland is likely to defend his middleweight title against Nassourdine Imavov, and rumors are circulating that they have agreed to fight, with reports emerging that they will headline UFC 335, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise.
