Thai sensation Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon has his eyes locked on the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship. The 23-year-old challenges reigning titleholder Nabil Anane on Friday, March 20, at ONE Friday Fights 147, live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Rambolek arrives on the back of a five-bout winning streak and a second-round knockout of Russian contender Abdulla Dayakaev in January that secured him the title shot.

A product of Superbon Training Camp, the Thai star was the first fighter to earn a six-figure contract with ONE Championship through the ONE Friday Fights event series, and he now steps into the biggest night of his career against one of the division’s most dangerous champions.

Rambolek has studied the champion carefully and came away with a clear-eyed assessment of the dangers Anane presents, particularly the growth the young titleholder has shown since first arriving on the global stage. The Thai’s preparation has been built around solving a very specific problem, and he explained exactly what that problem looks like from the inside.

“Nabil is dangerous everywhere. I thought he only had his height, but he’s improved so much and gotten incredibly strong. I have to be perfect with my distance and timing to land my shots. I’m preparing myself the best I can for that reach,” Rambolek said.

Anane, 21, trains out of Team Mehdi Zatout and made his ONE debut at 19 years old before capturing the bantamweight Muay Thai gold. The Thai-Algerian kingpin holds an 8-1 (1 NC) ONE record and brings a physical and technical challenge that Rambolek has spent considerable time preparing for.

Thai Star Promises Never to Give Up Against the Champion

There is no shortage of confidence in Rambolek’s camp heading into Friday. The 23-year-old has made clear that regardless of how the fight unfolds, there is only one way his night ends – with him still standing and still competing.

“My hunger and confidence are over 100 percent. This is a massive fight. Unless I get knocked out cold, I’m not giving up. I will fight with every ounce of my soul,” he explained.

Rambolek carries a 67-14 career record and a 7-2 ONE mark into the title fight, with five of his seven promotional victories coming via finish. His knockout of Anane’s teammate, Dayakaev, demonstrated the kind of finishing power that title contenders need to possess, and his five-bout winning streak reflects a fighter who has steadily raised his level to match the challenge waiting for him on Friday night.

Challenger Reveals What a World Title Would Mean After Years of Sacrifice

Rambolek has spoken about what this opportunity represents after years of work, criticism, and setbacks that tested his resolve long before he ever found himself in a ONE title fight.

“Winning the World Title would change my life forever. Growing up, I just dreamed of winning any belt, but becoming a ONE World Champion is the pinnacle. I’ve worked for this for three years, dealt with all the criticism and the setbacks,” he said.

The road from being the first ONE Friday Fights athlete to earn a six-figure contract to standing across from a World Champion inside Lumpinee Stadium is one that few competitors navigate without accumulating scars along the way.
