Rungrawee and George Jarvis Set for Lightweight Muay Thai Rematch in ONE Fight Night 44 Main Event

ONE Championship has confirmed the main event for ONE Fight Night 44, and it features a rematch between former World Title challengers George Jarvis and Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong.
Thai veteran Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong will face English striker George Jarvis in a lightweight Muay Thai rematch at ONE Fight NIght 44, live in U.S. primetime on Thursday, June 26, from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Their first meeting took place at ONE Friday Fights 85 in November 2024, where Jarvis dominated his experienced Thai rival with relentless strikes and ended the contest in the third round via knockout.
That win earned the English star a US$100,000 contract and a coveted spot on ONE Championship's global roster.
Both fighters have since challenged two-sport king Regian Eersel, but Jarvis fell in his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title match and Rungrawee failed to claim the kickboxing belt. Because of that, this rematch is pivotal crossroads moment for two of the division's most dangerous strikers.
Rungrawee Returns Hungrier Than Ever
Rungrawee, also more commonly known as “Legatron,” has packed a great deal into the months since losing to Jarvis.
The 30-year-old Thai rebounded with a dominant unanimous decision win over Youssef Assouik, a result that earned him a world title shot against reigning ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel at The Inner Circle in April. He pushed the champion the full five rounds before losing via decision, a performance that underlined his quality despite the defeat.
His 158-49 career mark, which includes 50 victories via finish, reflect a fighter who has been a consistent presence near the top of the lightweight Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions since arriving in the promotion.
A win over Jarvis in the rematch at ONE Fight Night 44 would do more than settle a score. It would place Rungrawee firmly back in the title conversation.
Jarvis Arrives in Bangkok on the Back of a Statement Win
Jarvis has not stood still since his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title loss to Eersel in August 2025. The 25-year-old bounced back from that defeat with a dominant victory over Thai superstar Sinsamut Klinmee in March.
After suffering a split-decision loss in his promotional debut, Jarvis won four consecutive bouts against world-class opposition to earn a title shot, then returned immediately with a big win after the Eersel defeat.
His 28-5 pro record and five ONE victories showcase a technically gifted, high-IQ fighter who raises his level against the best opposition available.
A victory over Rungrawee at ONE Fight Night 44 would give Jarvis back-to-back wins over credible opponents and make a compelling case for a second shot at the lightweight Muay Thai gold, especially against a champion he has already faced.
The Rematch has High Stakes at ONE Fight Night 44
The rematch carries different stakes for each fighter, but the destination is the same for both.
Rungrawee needs the win to avenge a knockout loss and reassert himself as the division's most dangerous challenger after narrowly missing gold against Eersel. Jarvis needs the win to back up everything his title shot promised and position himself as the inevitable next challenger.
Their first meeting produced a one-sided third-round stoppage, which means Rungrawee will arrive with specific adjustments and a point to prove against a fighter who has seen everything he brought to their first contest.
Meanwhile Jarvis enters the clash at ONE Fight Night 44 with the psychological advantage of a man who has already finished his opponent and will be looking to confirm that result was no accident.
